TELL CONGRESS: NO BUDGET, NO PAY
The most basic responsibility Congress has is deciding how much money the government takes in and how much it spends. But year after year, our leaders fail to produce a budget and spending bills on time. In fact, Congress has only passed a budget and all spending bills necessary to fund the government on time four times in the past 60 years.
What’s more, members of Congress still get their paychecks despite repeatedly failing to accomplish one of their most basic responsibilities. It’s simple: If our representatives don’t do their job, they shouldn’t get paid.
Tell members of Congress: No budget, no pay. Sign the petition now.
